How Over Voltage & Lightning Protector works ?
Most of the times, TV get damaged because of the over voltage and lightning, normally the household electricity voltage is from 200 to 250 Volts. ( sometimes for very short-time voltage becomes lower or higher than this range )
High voltage :-
The working range of all TV power supplies ( SMPS ) is in between 150 to 280 volts, Voltage greater than this range may damage TV power supply ( SMPS ). Lower voltage can not be harmful.
Lightning :-
In rainy season when lightning strikes in the sky at that time, high voltage is developed in the cable network wires or in dish wires. Which reaches to the tv through cable wires and hence failures the TV circuit and set-top box.
# In these situations , by using SAFTRON over voltage & lightning protector, when household electricity voltage exceeds than 280 volts , the TV will automatically power OFF and provides safety from over voltage. Also when normal voltage is supplied, it will auto-reset and power on the TV. In time of lightning, the developed high voltage in cable wires is neutralized ( through lightning wire kit ) and provide safe operation for TV and set-top box.
